Life is strange

Now, this post will be a quite special one. It’s about a game. Here’s the trailer:

The plot may be confusing and hard to grasp as it is, so here’s the deal: Max attends Blackwell Academy, where she’s studying photography. She moves out from Seattle to Arcadia Bay, her hometown, to pursue her dreams. Little did she know what awaits her… She’s starting to have nightmares about an apocalypse that devastates the city. Then one day something unexpected and totally frightening happens: she sees her old friend Chloe, being shot by one of her classmates in the bathroom. Right then she discovers that she can rewind time at any moment, but is she really capable of changing the turn of the events? What other mysteries holds the college?

Interesting fact: The game is produced by Dontnod Entertainment in collaboration with Square Enix. The story contains 5 episodes in total. What is quite unusual, is that they released each episode in every 2-3 months, so the players were forced to wait a bit until the final release.

I played this game a few months ago and I admit it was really frustrating. The wait for release was awful, because I was totally hooked up and absorbed in the story. Travelling in time is one of my favorites themes ever, and in this game we can decide whether we do something or not, which is awesome. It is also interesting to see the effects and the consequences of our decisions when the game unravels. I also very liked the graphics, it was realistic but at the same time there were lots of cartooney-like elements.
However, what I absolutely loved was the soundtrack. It gave a kick to the mood while I was playing and thanks to this soundtrack I fell in love with indie-folk, which is the best outcome in my opinion.
Here you can listen some of the songs:
