No love, no light, no end in sight

For me, it was an instant fall. I remember that I have listened to their songs unconsciously on the radio, even before I got to know who they are. And then I stumbled once on their mv on youtube, and bam!
I've become a massive fan.

Do you know Hurts?
If not, let me introduce you to them properly :) (If yes then... good for you!)

Meet Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson, two lads from Manchester. They became a duet in 2009, though they already collaborated together in another band - Daggers. But they wanted more than that, so they split up and went their own way as a duet. A strong one. They share similiar taste in music, they aren't afraid to experiment with sounds, though they keep their image quite simple. White buttoned up shirts, black slacks, suspenders (in Adam's case) and slicked hair. And that's more than enough. I love their simplicity in image, and complexity in content of their songs. They play synth pop, but it's so more than this. If you like the sounds of the 80's, listen to Depeche Mode, New Order or some bands of that kind - then there's no way you wouldn't like them!
There's so much I admire about them, they're so charismatic, yet they behave like any regulars. I mean, they're pretty down to earth, they prefer to write and compose in the bedroom, than in a studio, and that's how their recorded most of their albums. Two great personalities and individualities, that's them.
I've always thought that there is something dark about them, some kind of aura of uncertainty, mistery, I can't fathom it until now. But it's magnetizing.

Another great thing about them, is their unbelievable talent in writing lyrics. It's not just that they're beautifully written, but - they talk about people's emotions. Emotions that are hidden deep down there in our hearts. All our fragility, anxiety, all the ugly parts of our personality, parts that we hide from people's eyes.
It's not hard to identify with them.

But enough with the talking, let the music speak.

'There’s a place I wanna go
And a life I wanna know
But you crucified my heart of gold'
