Let's move on.

Hello! Did you sleep well? Yes? Ok, then let’s move on to watch musicals from other countries, shall we?

1# Grease

Classic! Danny is a typical bad-boy, and Sandy is a very well-mannered lady. They fall in love. Although the plot sounds shallow, I find this musical really enjoyable and funny, and this particular song is very catchy!

#2 The Phantom of the Opera

It rings a bell, right? That’s one of the most well-known musicals. Aside from wonderful and climatic music (which is the main theme by the way), it is a very intriguing and touching story about love, solitude and the search for compassion and acceptance.

(Ramin Karimloo is the best Phantom ever!)

#3 Metro

I was in Varsaw to watch this musical with my former class and I was sitting there all focused and enchanted. This story shows how commercialism can change your behavior and the way you think. And how you get lost along the way. The soundtrack is one of my favorites.

#4 My fair lady

Brilliant musical, with original plot. Based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pigmalion. 19th century, professor Higgins makes a bet with his friend, that he’ll transform an ordinary, street florist to a lady from high society. It happens to be Elizabeth Dolittle.

#5 Sweeney Todd

Set in 19th century England, the musical tells the story Benjamin Barker – alias Sweeney Todd. After 15 years of penal transportation, he comes to London to take revenge on the judge who banished him. A captivating musical thriller.

#6 Bonnie and Clyde

Who haven’t heard of them? The two ill-fated lovers and outlaws, who meet by accident. They are very much alike, they share big dreams, as big as the crimes they commit later on. The soundtrack is absolutely fantastic!

#7 Jekyll&Hyde

Dr Jekyll drinks mysterious potion and transforms into mr Hyde. He struggles with his inner side, to stay true to himself. I long to see it one day, because I love the novel! And the soundtrack.

#8 Dracula

A thrilling musical, set in Europe at the end of Victorian Age (my favorite!). Story about a vampire, who lusts after a human girl, and the problems ensues… I like this version better than the Broadway’s one. Maybe because of Junsu’s voice?

#9 Death Note

What would you do, if you had a note which kills each person in the way you wish for, when you write somebody’s name in it? What if it falls into the wrong hands? Now, that’s a gem for fans of the manga/anime/movie. It’s premiere would be in summer, I can’t wait to hear more already.

#10 Sailor Moon

Girls with super powers, save the world from evil. One of the most popular anime of all time. Made into a few musicals. I loved it!

Sadly, our journey comes to an end. Now, go on your own and explore the rest! I hope you enjoyed it! :D
